What is TRAIL?

The TRAIL program is a one-year, on-the-job, leadership development program that will help put you on track to a dynamic and rewarding career at one of the top mortgage lenders in the U.S.

Is this an internship?

Absolutely not! As a TRAIL participant, you will be a full-time employee of Newrez and earn a competitive salary with excellent benefits. You will learn first-hand what it takes to be a success in the mortgage industry, all within an upbeat and fun atmosphere!

What does TRAIL mean?

TRAIL stands for Tools Required for Advancement into Leadership. During an incredible and fast paced program, you will be guided by successful and experienced mortgage pros (Newrez mentors) as you “rotate” through a specific business discipline within the Company. Along the way you will work with an amazing group of people that enjoy an incredible synergy.

Who Should Apply

Ideal Candidates

  • Interested in building a career in the mortgage industry with NewRez
  • Completed (or nearly completed) an undergraduate degree program from an accredited school
  • Earned (or will earn) a degree in accounting, analytics, business, economics, finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Excellent abilities in presenting ideas and findings to a varied audience including staff and senior leadership
  • Strong attention to detail, an ability to multi-task, respond well to pressure and deadlines, and work well individually and in a collaborative environment
  • Strong skills in Excel and/or Tableau (charts, graphs, pivot tables, formulas, macros etc.)
  • Willingness to learn and ability to adapt
