Newrez Expands HomeHub Access to Protected Wholesale Borrowers, Keeping Brokers Connected to Clients Through the Homeownership Journey
- HomeHub, Newrez's homeowner engagement platform, is now available to protected wholesale borrowers, giving them access to estimated home value insights, refinance and home equity opportunities, local listings, and more.
- Financing inquiries will be routed to the original loan officer, helping brokers easily reconnect with borrowers as their needs evolve over time.
September 28, 2026 -- FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Newrez, a leading homeownership company, announced that its comprehensive homeowner engagement platform, HomeHub, is now available to protected wholesale borrowers, whose relationship with their originating broker is maintained during a protection period after closing.
The platform serves as a centralized destination where homeowners can monitor estimated home value and equity, explore financing opportunities, search local home listings, and more.
For protected borrowers, their original loan officer's contact information is integrated throughout HomeHub during the protection period, keeping them front and center as a trusted mortgage resource. When a borrower expresses interest in a purchase, refinance, or home equity opportunity, HomeHub helps reconnect them with the loan officer they already know and trust, creating opportunities for continued engagement and future transactions.
The launch comes as many homeowners continue to build significant housing wealth. According to the August 2026 ICE Mortgage Monitor, 47.5 million mortgage holders now hold a record of approximately $11.7 trillion in tappable home equity, averaging about $212,000 per borrower. HomeHub provides homeowners greater visibility into that equity, along with estimated home value and financing options, while giving brokers a direct line back to clients when they're ready to explore next steps.
“In today’s competitive market, brokers who stay connected to their clients are the ones who win not only the first transaction, but the next one too,” said Tony Kottenbrock, Senior Vice President of Wholesale Lending at Newrez. “HomeHub keeps borrowers informed while helping brokers reengage with clients, create new business opportunities from their existing customer base, and remain a trusted resource beyond closing.”
Newrez launched HomeHub in late 2025, creating a market-leading digital homeowner ecosystem that goes beyond traditional servicing portals. By bringing together insights and tools such as real-time home value estimates, searchable home listings, refinance and home equity lending options, and more, HomeHub helps borrowers make more informed decisions throughout the homeownership journey.
